AoIP

Integrate SOUND4 Processing Engine Cores with AoIP Network

What is AoIP Mode?

Audio over IP (AoIP) is the distribution of digital audio over an IP network. Our commitment to versatility, interoperability, and security is reflected in our support for several AoIP protocols: SMPTE ST 2110-30, SMPTE ST 2022-7 (dual attachment), AES67, an essential standard that facilitates interoperability between different audio-over-IP networking technologies. We also support Livewire, a popular AoIP standard in the broadcasting industry, known for its low latency and high channel count. For AES67 discovery, both RAVENNA and SAP are available. This key advantage enables communication with Dante AES67 devices, allowing us to connect to Dante systems in AES67 mode only. A discovery protocol is, of course, also available for Livewire.

OS and Hardware compatibility

The main challenge for the AoIP version is achieving low latency for live applications. This requirement necessitates using the Linux operating system, there are no Windows-compatible versions

The software runs on standard PCs and servers, the AoIP version also supports ARM64 and performs excellently on Raspberry Pi5!

A multi-products and user frienly software

SOUND4 AoIP.CL provides a comprehensive environment for creating and managing grouped instances. Users can configure BIG VOICE groups containing multiple instances for a specific studio and apply Dominate-It processing to the entire group. The platform efficiently hosts all types of processing engines in a single environment.

AoIP mode is available all processing engines
